Insatiable thirst for progress is the striking trait of our age. Every individual longs for boundless progress and prosperity. There is race for physical security. We crave for five star living. Why? It is because we are conscious for the immense potentialities of science and technology. Our inexhaustible intellectual powers give birth to scientific inventions and discoveries.

Today mankind is threatened by wars and violence. Our fighting powers are misusing the fruits of science. Deadly weapons are manufactured. They create oceans of blood and tears. Precious physical and human resources are misused. Wars in our age have become more deadly. Science cannot be blamed. We have to blame our war like attitudes and practices.

Nuclear energy is the perennial fount of power. But it should be used for peaceful purposes. Without peace our material prosperity loses its sense. So nuclear energy must be used for banishing poverty. We have to protect our planet from the misuse of nuclear explosions environmental pollution is a result of our blatant misuse of nuclear energy.

Scientific outlook is the only fool proof solution. It is a healthy practice. Our health depends upon the health of our planet. Natural resources should be used scientifically. Science is for the welfare of all. All ills stems out of our unscientific practices. International relations should be based on such practices.

Science is the mighty power. It should be backed by our wisdom. Wisdom is scientific outlook in practice. There must be matching between science and society.
